Over the past months, we have tried a number of different 0.2 gram BB. They generally fall into one of two types: 1) biodegradable; and 2) non-biodegradable. While we like to use biodegradable BB's to preserve mother earth, there are so many professional grade BB's that we like to try as well.
So, when we found Evike offering 7000 rounds of the Angel Custom Professional Grade 6mm Airsoft BB (0.2g), during the week of Airsoftcon2013, for $10, we just couldn't resist getting our hand on a bottle. That is cheaper than 10000 rounds of Ignite Black Ops Biodegradable BB's from Wal-mart for $20. And it would be great interest to us on how the its performance compare to other BB's that we've tried.
The Angel Custom Professional Grade 6mm Airsoft BB comes in a plastic container that is similar to beverage bottles (e.g. Coke bottle). The twist off cap is originally sealed. After breaking the seal, you can still re-cap it. Because the mouth opening of the bottle is small, it is easier to control how many BB comes out of the bottle at one time. We have seen other airsoft players use beverage bottles to hold BB's at the local airsoft field before. They use the limited mouth opening of the bottle to fill high capacity magazines. We feel that it is a great idea.
The bottle label claims "less than 5% internal bubbles" and "each Angel Custom BB is carefully manufactured into a perfect sphere 5.98mm in diameter for zero jamming". That is the exact specification provided by Evike Professional Grade 6MM Airsoft BB. Perhaps they come out of the same manufacturer. Angel Custom BB's are made in Taiwan.
Like the Evike BB's, they don't smell very much compared to the biodegradable BB's. In addition, when they hit each other, they create crisp, hard sounds. They are glossier and harder than the biodegradable BB's. All of the Angel Custom Professional Grade 6mm Airsoft BB's that we've examined are uniform with no seams.
