Airsoft and paintball games usually composes of equal numbered opposing teams. When you show up at a field, it's almost a guarantee that some people will get moved from one side to another to balance that number. Here are some tips to increase your chance of being glued to your friends.
1. Wear similarly colored clothing. On many fields the team set based on camouflage color--all the desert tan on one side, while the woodland green are on the other. So if all your friends are desert tan and you come in woodland green, then you will probably get moved.
2. In a more ad hoc game where few people wears camouflage, the decision may be based on light vs. dark clothing. Try to have all your friends go light or dark, not both.
3. It may even come down to short sleeves vs. long sleeves. Make sure all your friends wear the same type of sleeves.
